Meet the team: 5 Minutes with Lauren West

19 March 2026

Website: At SRVO Property, our Risk & Compliance team plays a central role in supporting clients across their portfolios, ensuring buildings are managed safely, compliantly and efficiently. Behind this, our operations function is key, providing the structure, systems and support that enable our teams to deliver consistently high standards on site.

Lauren West joined SRVO as Risk Operations Manager, bringing a strong operational mindset and a focus on continuous improvement. Working closely with the wider Risk team, Lauren supports the development of processes and systems that enhance service delivery, helping both our internal teams and clients navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Which recent project are you most proud of, and what did it teach you?

It’s an operational project rather than a client project. Growing the Risk Operation service, which has supported the growth of SRVO’s Risk department is something I am really proud of. We’re providing our onsite teams with robust support that in turn supports our customers. Success does not come overnight however with consistency and determination, nothing is impossible!

Which of our values resonates most with you, and how do you live it day-to-day?

Innovation – My role requires me to continuously review and improve the systems and processes that we have in place and adjusting and adapting to ensure we can support our clients in meetting their legislative requirements, while also maximising efficiencies across the whole Risk department. Pushes me to never settle and always ask why and look at how can it be better!

Describe your journey into property — what first drew you to the industry?

Like most people I fell into Property and worked my way up. I moved across to the operations side around 5 years go. I love that everyday is a different day and there is always something new to learn or consider for us to adapt and achieve and using my past experience to service the clients today.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting in our sector, what would it be?

Learn from everyone around you and absorb as you go! You learn every day but utilise the experience you’ve gained.

What’s the most memorable or interesting thing you’ve seen on site or during a project?

In every role, it is honestly all about the people involved in the journey, from leaseholders, property managers and landlords to colleagues and managers. All offering their knowledge and experience, to ultimately come together to deliver on the final product.

What’s your favourite building?

I really like both ends of the scales – Love Victorian mansion blocks, but also love the sleekness of a new build.
