David is a highly experienced property leader in global real estate, and now CEO of SRVO a property advisory specialist. Across a 25+ year career, David has held senior consultant, contractor and client roles in the UK, Europe and globally, delivering asset, and portfolio strategies to improve value and drive revenue for stakeholders, while enhance experience for customers. David’s experience across the whole property cycle includes new market entry, acquisition, design, construction and delivery, as well as property and facilities management, lease administration and disposal; across all property types.
David has overseen the formation of SRVO, bringing together the best people, skills and experience from existing surveying capabilities within the Odevo group under a dedicated brand. SRVO launches with a huge ambition for growth, and a clear vision to be a market-leading property advisor, offering a comprehensive surveying offer and consistently exceptional service to the real estate market.
CEO
David is a Health & Safety professional with specialist expertise in leasehold management, compliance, and risk management. Since 2015, he has led and grown the Essential Services division, improving operational efficiency and service delivery across diverse portfolios. He holds NEBOSH diplomas in Occupational Health & Safety, as well as a CFPA Europe Diploma in Fire Safety. At SRVO, David develops strategic compliance programmes and drives continuous improvement in safety standards.
Director - Risk
Matthew is a Chartered Surveyor with 12 years of experience, and is also an RICS Registered Valuer with significant experience across the residential and commercial asset class. Formerly a Director at Shaw & Company, where he also first trained as a General Practice Surveyor, Matthew currently oversees SRVO’s Commercial and Valuation team, as well as managing the operations of the fast-growing business.
Matthew’s expertise includes Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessments, Rent Reviews, Schedule of Dilapidations, Service Charge Apportionments, Leasehold Enfranchisement, Expert Witness (relating to leasehold enfranchisement) and Red Book Valuations. By establishing and maintaining a strong, collaborative working culture across all aspects of the business, Matthew helps to ensure a consistently high standard of service and project delivery for clients and partners.
Regional Director
Nick is a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with 35 years of experience specialising in professional services and commercial building consultancy including project management, defect building pathology, building reinstatement assessments, PPM, Party Wall and various services related to the Building Safety Act 2022 such as Structural Appraisals and Building Height Surveys. Formerly of Trinity Estates, Nick has wide ranging experience working for large, global consultancies such as Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE, as well as niche practices.
Nick’s expertise includes advising on portfolio-wide surveys as well as providing surveying services across residential and commercial managed portfolios, including the creation of planned maintenance programmes and the delivery of project management services on major and minor works from £50,000 to £3m+. At SRVO, Nick oversees the continued growth of the Building Surveying team.
Director of Building Surveying
Simon is a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer, and Director at SRVO. A respected advisor to the property industry with over 40 years of experience, Simon brings experience from the rural, commercial and residential property sectors, with vast experience of enabling teams to deliver a consistently high quality of professional services across a range of complex and high-profile projects for both private and corporate clients.
He currently focuses on the delivery of commercial lease advisory, valuation and reinstatement cost consultancy. He is also responsible for the Vegner Group panel of surveyors.
Director
Alan is a director with over 15 years of experience in the Building Surveying industry, specialising in leading high-performing teams to achieve organisational goals. Known for his excellent communication skills, Alan builds strong client relationships and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
He fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, leveraging his expertise in strategic planning, team development, and change management. Alan has extensive experience across a wide range of professional services, with a focus on providing lifecycle repair and maintenance advice, overseeing major refurbishments, and managing multi-million-pound insurance reinstatement works for high-end residential properties in London.
Regional Director
Ben is a Chartered Building Surveyor specialising in Technical Due Diligence, and with close to 15 years’ experience of working on historic assets and new developments across the commercial, residential, industrial, hotel, and retail sectors. Ben was formerly at Cardoe Martin with prior experience within CBRE’s London Building Consultancy team, and Family Mosaic Housing Association where he oversaw repair and management of buildings and tenancy issues across 500+ social housing units in West London.
Ben’s extensive experience includes; the management of national and global portfolio instructions for high profile acquisition and vendor surveys; negotiating dilapidations settlements for both Landlords and Tenants; completing planned maintenance contract works; undertaking defect diagnosis inspections; and project managing million-pound refurbishment projects. Ben is passionate about further strengthening environmental awareness across the business to continue to add value to clients’ portfolios.
Regional Director
Claire is a Chartered Building Surveyor with 11 years of professional experience; she is a RICS Certified Historic Building Professional with extensive experience of technical due diligence, building pathology, design and specification of building refurbishment and alteration projects and contract administration on a wide range of building types.
Claire trained as a Building Surveyor at Savills (UK) Limited after a previous career as an engineer in the British Army and holds security clearance and DBS. Claire currently oversees the Southern Region Building Surveying team at SRVO.
Claire is dedicated to supporting clients in ensuring their buildings perform as required and always delivering a high standard of service.
Associate Director
Andrew leads SRVO’s Sheffield and Manchester surveying teams, helping to grow and develop strong client relationships as a trusted advisor to many key portfolios. Throughout his career, he has successfully handled a diverse range of assignments with experience in Project Management, Contract Administration, Principal Designer CDM, Technical Due Diligence, Defect Analysis and Dilapidations, amongst other core Building Surveying work.
Andrew has worked with clients from both the private and public sectors across a wide range of assets including hospitals and dental practices, military bases, industrial buildings, historic mills, and residential portfolios. With a well-rounded skill set and a keen understanding of how to navigate complex projects efficiently, Andrew is particularly focused on major and complex projects, utilising his broad range of experience to drive successful project outcomes for both clients and colleagues.
