At SRVO Property, our teams rely on strong systems, clear processes and effective collaboration to support consistent service delivery across the business.
We spoke with Negin Amani, Data and Social Media Manager, about her journey from urban planning and design to data and marketing, and how the experience has led her into the property industry.
Which recent project are you most proud of, and what did it teach you?
I’m proud that part of my role involves supporting SRVO’s digitalisation journey. As a relatively new business, we’re really passionate about efficiency and using innovation and clear data to see continuous improvement across all our processes.
I also love contributing to the CRM, marketing and branding side of the business.
For me, this work is about more than systems or campaigns. It is about connecting what happens inside the business with how we communicate it externally. I see my role as a bridge between the team and our audience, helping to strengthen visibility and showcase the experience, expertise and capability within SRVO so that clients can better understand the value we deliver.
Which of our values resonates most with you, and how do you live it day-to-day?
Innovation is the value that resonates most strongly with me, but I also believe SRVO’s values of Transparency, Collaboration and Integrity are all closely connected.
For me, innovation works best when it is supported by openness, trust and teamwork. A team can only move forward and achieve meaningful progress when people communicate clearly, share knowledge and feel confident working together.
Day to day, I try to live these values by staying open to new ideas, using data to support better decisions, and working collaboratively with different teams. I believe that when a business genuinely applies these values, it creates a stronger culture and better outcomes for both the team and its clients.
Describe your journey into property – what first drew you to the industry?
My background originally started in Urban Planning and Design, where I studied city planning, public spaces and aspects of building and environmental design and developed technical skills in tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Alongside this, I pursued my interest in photography and became involved in marketing photography, which gradually introduced me to the business and branding side of projects.
I also strongly believe that if you want to become truly skilled in a field, you need both academic knowledge and practical experience, which is what led me to pursue further academic study through MBA and DBA programmes. Through this, I developed my technical skills in data analysis and coding as well as understanding customer behaviour to identify ways businesses could improve their operations, branding and client experience.
I applied my analytical, coding and marketing skills as a Business Intelligence Analyst, before joining SRVO as a Data and Social Media Manager.
What drew me to the property industry was the opportunity to reconnect with part of my original academic background. Through Urban Planning and Design, I studied the history of world architecture, city planning, public spaces and the role buildings play within the wider urban environment. That gave me a strong appreciation of how buildings, people and places are connected.
Later, through my experience in business development, marketing and data analysis, I became more focused on how organisations grow, communicate and improve. Property felt like a natural next step because it allows me to combine these experiences while continuing to learn within an industry that has a real impact on how people live and work.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting in our sector, what would it be?
My advice would be to trust the process and stay open to learning.
In any career, progress comes from improving every day, even in small ways. If you keep learning, stay curious and remain consistent, that growth will show over time.
What’s the most memorable or interesting thing you’ve seen on site or during a project?
As someone who often works behind the scenes, the most interesting thing for me is seeing the dedication, professionalism and commitment of the SRVO team every day.
There is a lot of work, coordination and care that goes into delivering a strong service, and seeing that from the inside makes me proud to be part of the team.
What’s your favourite building?
I’ve always admired historic architecture, especially landmarks such as the Palace of Westminster and St Paul’s Cathedral, but I also appreciate modern urban environments such as the Barbican and the contemporary architecture around Liverpool Street and the City of London.
What interests me most is how different architectural styles and urban spaces interact with each other. The Barbican, for example, feels almost like a city within another city, with its own atmosphere and identity. I think London is fascinating because it allows history and modern development to exist side by side in a way that gives the city both character and evolution
