As properties are valuable assets, it is in the freeholder’s best interests that precautions are taken before allowing works to be carried out.
It is also important to have the works inspected to confirm that they have been carried out to the required standards and that no issues have been caused.
We work on behalf of the client, usually at no cost as our fees are covered by the service provider.
We have extensive experience of the process – having reviewed over 3000 installation proposals and carried out over 1000 inspections.
Our existing relationships with a range of service providers can assist with expediting the process.
We have a dedicated and experienced team of surveyors and support staff on hand to assist.
We review the proposal prior to any works proceeding to provide independent verification that the installation route the service provider has planned is viable.
We review site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure proper consideration and due diligence is satisfied.
As internal works often involve penetrating through fire barriers, SRVO identify these areas, note the method and condition of existing firestopping.
We provide detailed documentation covering our review of the proposal and these documents also note where there are requirements for remediation of penetrations through fire barriers by third-party accredited passive fire safety installers.
Following completion of works we carry out a thorough inspection to ensure that all works are in accordance with the agreed proposal, the cabling is safe and meets current regulatory standards, and that there has been no mess or damage resulting from the installation.
Once SRVO are satisfied that any/all issues have been remedied, we review the Health & Safety handover documents on receipt and provide a copy to the client.
Our team of experienced and qualified surveyors are on hand to assist with your property queries and needs.
